Mechanical Fitter – Scunthorpe

Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 + Pension + Healthcare + Bonus + Overtime
3 Shift System – Rotating over 7 Days
The Company
My Client is one of the UK’s leading steel manufacturer, who have been established for over 30 years, supplying a wide range of industries. With a worldwide presence, the group has gone from strength to strength over the last decade to become centre of excellence within the industry they specialise in. Due to further expansion within the British market, they have recently invested £50 million into new projects within the Scunthorpe site.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards, working on several mechanical areas within a heavy machinery environment.
Key Skills;
- A Medium to Heavy Engineering Background.
- Apprentice Trained Mechanical Engineer.
- Knowledge of PPM, Pumps, Pneumatics, & Hydraulics.
You will also be able and willing to be involved in general mechanical work such as pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes, welding and other manufacturing heavy machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
