Design Engineer – Lancaster

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + 10% Bonus + Pension
Days Based Role – Monday to Friday
The Company
Based within one of the UK’s leading turnkey specialist manufacturing groups my client is looking to recruit an experienced mechanical design engineer to add to their engineering team. The facility in Lancaster has and will benefit from further investment this year, to increase capacity. This manufacturing specialist is a secure group during the current economic uncertainty and has been established over 20 years.

The Role
The successful applicant will have experience in design of industrial equipment & machinery but also have skills in managing projects. The candidate must be proficient in the use of 3D CAD systems (Solidworks ideally) and engineering drawing standards knowledge is ideal. The successful applicant will be required to develop CAD models and create detailed manufacturing drawings for subcontract supply or ‘in house’ work processes, to cover the full turnkey solution the company offers its clients. In addition, your education level will be ideally to Degree in mechanical engineering. Your mechanical design foundation will be developed hugely in this ingenious environment and this will lead to excellent career opportunities.
